Hillman
Consulting Services (Hnet) provides a gateway to the Internet,
allowing our users to go wherever they choose on the Internet.
Limiting access to selected Internet sites is the responsibility
of the user. There is software commercially available to
assist you in controlling Internet access to family members
and parental supervision is encouraged.
The
primary user is responsible for the activity of any secondary
users (extra email accounts) or guest users logging on under
their username. Hence, it is vitally important to protect
your password. If you feel your password has been compromised,
contact us and we will change it.
Hnet
is not responsible for any abusive actions that originate
from other locations on the Internet.
We are
limiting the number of emails sent by each user to 100 a
day. Attachments are limited to 250kbs per email. If you
feel you have a valid reason to exceed these quantities,
contact the webmaster.
It is the webmaster's discretion to allow or deny the user's
request on an individual basis.

Acceptable
Use of Hnet Network Facilities
Telnetting
onto the Hnet server is available to those users who know
how to use the service. Our accounts allow for file storage
within the individual user's directories on the server.
The primary user is the only one authorized to telnet and
ftp into the system (only one homepage per customer). CGI
scripting is allowed and can be stored within a cgi_bin
subdirectory within the user's "www" subdirectory. Telnetting
onto our server also allows those users interested in Perl
or the C compiler to access these services.
The following is not permitted:
- Cracking
- Using
the system in such a way that encumbers disc space, bandwidth,
processors or other system resources.
- Sending
viruses or out of band packets to other users
These
policies are set forth for the protection and convenience
of Hnet Internet users. Adherence to these policies are
not only strongly recommended, they are mandatory.
