Object Of Rotary

  • Library - The Sunrise Rotary donated $10,000.00 to the fund for the renovation and addition to the West Bend Public Library.

  • Christmas Families - All the “Fine” money collected during the year is used to purchase Christmas presents for families identified by the Family Center. We shop for and wrap all the gifts in early December.

  • Scholarships - Each year Sunrise Rotary distributes three scholarships through Columns worth $500.00 each.

  • Phoenix Program - This is a mentorship program for high school students at the Phoenix Academy (alternative high school) along with the guidance of a mentor(s) the students are eligible for a $500.00 scholarship payable to the program or school of their choice after graduating from high school. Students are also eligible for a $1.00 an hour work bonus up to $400.00 while participating in this program.

  • Choices Program - Speaking to high school freshman regarding the importance of completing high school is both challenging and rewarding. This is a “pre scripted” 50 minute program. It involves discussing issues and an interactive financial game to demonstrate the importance of a high school diploma.

  • Business World - We support West Bend High School students and teachers with financial assistance ($350.00) to attend this annual seminar at St. Norbert’s College.

  • Weekly Rotary Students - During the school year (October - May) we invite students chosen by West Bend (East and West) High School to attend our meetings and learn a bit about a service club. Lists are circulated and each member is asked to sign up to invite a student to a meeting.
